Outspoken pastor Reverend Professor Emmanuel Martey has said some of the appointees within the new Akufo-Addo led administration are corrupt.

He made the comments at a press briefing in Accra. The immediate past moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana however failed to provide evidence of his statements preferring to make quote from the Bible instead: "Blessed are those who do not see but believe" (John 20:29).
This is not the first time the preacher has accused a government or its appointees of corruption. In 2016, while he was a moderator, accused the former government of attempting to bribe him with a car and a house, provided he toned down his criticism of the John Mahama-led administration.

In that case also, he failed to prove his claims which led to strong condemnation from government officials.
Analysis
Although, Prof Martey is largely respected within the wider society, he risks becoming a broken record if he continues to make wild allegations without providing substantial evidence.
